New version of our our electric powered model Hot Shot. The model will surprise with rapid climb rate, high flight velocity and excellent glide.
The RFT weight is from ca. 340 grams. The model can be used for the new FAI class F5K. The substantial improvement of the flight properties was achieved with the weight reduction. We made following changes: - the weight of the wing was reduced - tailplanes are now made of foam/skin composite - the tail servos were moved into the space between canopy and wing LE. The servos are located flat, "on the floor", there is enough space for Rx over them - lightweight servos are used, KST X06 - the tail servos are controlled via steel string - we recommend motor Dualsky XM221EG-28. While lightweight, it provides excellent efficiency. The OD is 22mm only, what makes the installation easy. Next recommended equipment: Aileron servos: KST X06 Elevator and rudder servo: KST X06 Prop spinner: Klasik 30/3 or Reisenauer 30/3 Prop blades: Aeronaut 7x4. Speed controller at least 15Amps (Talon 15) Battery 550-2S (Dualsky ULTRA) The above mentioned setup is conservative. If you use battery 3S (Dualsky 400-3S Eco), the climbing rate will increase to about 11-12m/s.
The battery and motor are overloaded and can be run in short time intervals and with caution. |
